The Foraged Feast team spent last Sunday at the South Pearl Street farmers market, chatting with locals about the mission and goals of Foraged Feast, recruiting volunteers, and encouraging homeowners to register their fruit trees. Everyone was so positive and excited…it really got us pumped up for this harvest season! We want to thank and praise Hob Nob Events, the group that organizes the market, along with other cool local events—they really welcomed us into the market family, and because of that, we made some really great connections with local farmers and food producers. In addition to our core program of fruit gleaning, we are excited to be recovering leftover produce from South Pearl, and many other local farmer’s markets. This week we were able to deliver 100lbs of produce to the Denver Rescue Mission. Thanks for your generosity Miller Farms and Kiowa Valley Organics.
We also want to thank everyone who stopped by our booth—we are so happy to be a part of such a wonderful community of people!
